October 2002, Shateka began her service for AmeriCorps at the Substance Abuse Council, and was promoted to Program Director in
March 2004. She is a trained SMART
Moves Facilitator since 1998 and became a Certified Prevention Professional in 2009. She
is a graduate of
Indiana
Wesleyan
University
.
She has over five years experience working with youth and is dedicated
to the well being of the community.
With an outgoing
personality and expertise in business management, she has many qualities
to contribute to the council’s mission.
Shateka is definitely
fulfilling her motto which is to, “Empower, Encourage, and Improve
